Camilo Coral - Senior Advisor

Specialist in clinical psychology and psychosocial support. Twenty years of experience working with international humanitarian organizations in Africa and Latin America.

He has formulated several psychosocial interventions in protracted conflict and post-conflict contexts. Known by his colleagues as a strong analyst and catalyzer of psychosocial interventions from a collective interaction perspective, to address challenges of community rebuilding, personal and social resilience.

In the psychosocial field, he has a long practice in attitudes change, persuasion management, social cognition generation and re-activation of community dynamics.

In the clinical field, he has accumulated a wide psychotherapeutic experience from a community approach to help victims of violent actions to overcome the emotional impacts produced by: systematic sexual assaults, family disintegration, massacres, recruitment and forced displacement, threats, and armed confrontations.

Alaa Shehada - MENA Region Lead Advisor

Alaa Shehada (MSc.) is an expert psychologist with twelve years of experience in designing quantitative and qualitative studies on psychosocial issues; as well as, in designing curriculums and delivering trainings for trainers in subjects as psychosocial interventions, parenting skills, and mental health & child development and M&E.

Alaa has worked with various international organizations in the MENA region such as Mercy Corps, Save the Children, IMC, UNICEF, Humanity & Inclusion, and UNRWA. She has led the formulation of psychosocial interventions and monitored their implementation to ensure maximum impact and quality standards.

Currently, Alaa is an internal adviser for #MeWe International in the designing and managing of its programs in Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, and Berlin.

Alaa received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Yarmouk University also has several publications, among them: The effectiveness of rational emotive behavior program in reducing abusive behaviors among of a sample of refugees mothers in Zaatari camp. She is working on a book that will be published for Dar Weal publishers.

Alaa is a cat-lover, enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures around the world.
